Intellective Insights: For Sales Managers: Technology Can Help But ...

Sometimes you get what you ask for and then suffer unintended consequences. For years, we have been challenging graphic communications and technology companies to use technology to improve sales productivity and manage the sales process. I think we have won the battle. Unfortunately, we are not always getting the results we have expected.

Great article Joe!  I agree with you ~ too much micromanaging is not necessarily a good thing.  In my personal experience, I truly believe when it comes to the sales managers' "other 50%" ( leadership, targeting, messaging, marketing, alignment, motivation, compensation and training.) that they should work hand in hand with the marketing department/manager. By doing so, it would greatly help out the salesforce and the marketing department by honing in on what's working ~ what's not working. Often times, this is not the case at most organizations and typically both departments don't see "eye to eye" even though the results would be for the greater good of the company.

Print broker software

Hi All,I would really appreciate some feedback from somebody that has used Xetex Xebra software.  I am considering a new direction for our software needs.  Currently we have ACT as a CRM, quotewerks for quoting and PO placement, and quickbooks for accounting.  IT'S RIDICULOUS!!!!!  I need something that is fully integrated.  Any feedback would really help.See More

"We have been using Quotewerks.  It's a good program but can only do the estimating.  "
