Mark, At this time it has no affect. I will attend if possible in any case. I think it's too early to determine a positive or negative affect. Only by attending and seeing the results/affects of the transition will the membership be able to make a d…

Hi Roger.....thanks for the welcome note. I believe we have met personally several times over the years at trade shows. Great to connect with you and the other professionals in this group.
This group and Linked In have given me some insight that i did not see coming. I am currently responsible for our companies expanding client base and growth in Maryland.....my home town. Still covering Pa also of course. Relationships in my territory......no boundaries for travel . Keep me in mind when solutions are needed. My sales team and i average 20 succesful years in the print and promo world .....lots of talent to support us. sally

Roger, since you're the wise sage of all things print, thought I'd ask you this. What have you seen or heard about in regards to training of prepress/digital press employees for all things VDP. I've seen PIA's VDP bootcamp, but wondering if you know of other good sources. Thanks.

Hello Roger!
Thanks! We are a trade bindery and finishing plant, we do in fact work with digital clients, but only from the bindery and finishing side. I hope to meet more printers through printjunkie!

Yes Sir, we have. I was working for Mike Norman at his "Star Business Graphics" circa 2000-2001 when we met at the Ft. Scott W/K Plant. I was with him or Lalan Cole at your plant dropping off some digital files and got to take a little tour of the new W/K "Short Run" facility then... Very nice to meet your acquaintance Roger, good luck on your new company, checked out your website. I don't want to sound insulting, but it looks like it was created with an "Out of the box" program like MS Frontpage or something. I do some website work on the side, nothing serious, but if I could be of some service sometime, let me know. I setup and maintain www.goldenroll.com, it's not very fancy right now either, but it's iPhone friendly and has a little "favicon" in the address bar. A site can be plain vanilla but still have a touch of flare without much extra effort...

Great video Juan. I love that people are starting to get it!! I've been silently hiring 'screw-ups' (to quote Tom Peters) for years and they happen to be the strongest assets to our organization.

Great article! Here is a link to a short clip that has Tom Peters discussing much of the same thing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_w4AfflmeM
