"Richard, there are a lot of companies who can do this, mainly those who are producing plastic cards. I used to work for Arthur Blank & Co. in Boston: I would start with them. 1-800-776-7333. They also have a great website: Google them to find…"
"I think that is purely subjective, based upon how much money is tied up in the job and also what your customer is expecting. If this is a showpiece catalog then an on-site press check should be mandatory. Eternal vigilance.........."
While I cannot fathom why need to explain why I did what I did, as it is self evident in my view, perhaps it will ease your mind to know that Paul has emailed me privately and seems to be interested in "moving on" - as do I. I…"
You didn't need to mention Mr. Edwards by name or his company, since anyone reading posts on the board would have known who you were talking about. Why not take your issue directly to Mr. Edwards and engage him in debate instead of…"

I read your post regarding Paul Edwards' message regarding digital print and the environment. I don't know where you come off as a self-appointed expert on all things green, but I can tell you that the tone of what you posted was…"
I did not mentioning Paul or Pauls company by name. I received an unsolicited email - send to everyone in the environment group - and it had nothing to do with environment anything. It also made some claim that digital printing is somehow 'more environmental' than traditional printing, which many have disputed. my "point" was that people making claims need to fact find, and was a message meant to educate other people in The Environmental Group" that one needs to be mindful of making claims. That's what I did.
I was never 'appointed' as a "environmental policeman" - but as a marketing professional and as someone who has been involved with writing press releases - I simply think we need to be mindful of 'hype' when we may not have the science to back it up.
While I cannot fathom why need to explain why I did what I did, as it is self evident in my view, perhaps it will ease your mind to know that Paul has emailed me privately and seems to be interested in "moving on" - as do I. I will assume you are a good friend of Pauls, and that is great to know you are such a person. I will say in closing that perhaps I was befuddled by why on earth Paul would send a press release like sales outreach about his new Dimensional printing capabilities to The Environmental Group. As I explained to Paul, there is no published, publicly available empirical data - only press releases from Vendors - on the even a simple comparator of the recyclable-ness of digital printing processes (like NexPress and iGen) compared to traditional printing. I would be thrilled to share what research I have - email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org - otherwise - in Pauls words "It’s a new day and the grass is green. Let’s move on." (smile)
