What is a Craftsman?

In December of last year I posed this question to the Print Junkie community, (see discussion: http://www.printjunkie.net/forum/topics/recognizing-a-craftsman) the managers in our shop, and other networking venues: What is a Craftsman? As expected I received great feedback – Thank you! The tricky part was compiling the answer into a brief, succinct format.

"Newscasters continue to declare “Print Is Dead”. What is your response?"

Where did you read that?

The "Confessions of a Print Junkie" prompted me to share this:

This is the challenge placed to my staff at the end of January 2009, it has brought great ideas and resolve.

"In conversation with other business leaders and within the leadership of our own organization, I have been asked the question “How does Wright Printing plan to be a force in the current economy?”

My answer is uncomplicated – “Exercise more and eat less.”
