New Tabbing Rules Explained. Plus, Some Advice on How to Comply.

If you are like me, you hate trying to interpret and stay on top of the latest USPS changes to rules and regulations. I've gotten a lot of helpful info from my local printers and mail houses, but I found this article at www.TarketMarketingMag.com, which (I think) explains the new rules quite well. Figured I would share it here. It also has links at the end to USPS documentation.… Continue

USPS Changes coming at the End of March

So, the rates are going up. Again. In May. Sigh. But, you probably knew that already, so on to my real reason for posting. This morning I was sent some info on changes taking place at the end of March. They involve the placement of delivery addresses on flats and stuff like large envelopes, catalogs and periodicals. They seem pretty benign and most of us are probably already doing things they way they want anyway. However...I found a Power Point presentation that does a good job of showing the n… Continue

Changes to Print Junkie Messaging Features and More

You may have noticed a few changes on Print Junkie since last week. The biggest is the way you read and send messages. There used to be little icons in the grey bar at the top which lit up when you had new messages and friend requests. Similar icons are still there, but they no longer expand the top of the page to let you compose mail.

You can now access your mail via these icons OR via a link to your Inbox at the top right corner in the same spot where you sign in to PJ. Click and check… Continue

About Me

I've been a graphic designer for 13 years. Almost all of them at PSDA. I went to Longwood College (now University) in Farmville, VA. I majored in fine art with a concentration in design. Was so excited when I first learned I could make a good living with computer design. I wanted to be in a creative field, but had some fear about trying to make it as a fine artist. I do love to paint and draw, although don't do it nearly enough these days. Aside from working full-time as an in-house designer for PSDA, I also do some freelance work in my spare time.

I currently live in Alexandria, VA. My husband and I both grew up in Virginia. We met during College. We've been married for 7 years now and we have a daughter who will be three in September.

Wow, I'm getting back to you quickly! Sorry about that. That is an Apple laptop being used for a Microsoft seminar. I'm a huge Apple fan, so I love this pic. I hope all is well with you! I remember meeting you in Baltimore and you are all a pleasure to work with.

Hello Jennie,

It was great meeting you and the PSDA crew. We had a great show, tons of positive feedback and some excellent leads. Thanks so much for your work on this site and everything else you do, it's fantastic to be involved with such a great group of people! (Was I effusive enough?) :)

Thanks!

Looking forward to whatever other things you guys cook up!

Hello Jennie!

Thanks, for your help yesterday. This is a "first" for me. You made things very easy. Great photos of your daughter and the outdoors.

I enjoyed the Convention, thanks to you and all of the PSDA staff. I am glad you were able to attend. Jennie, you made a difference! Ray

Wow, what a cool looking "little Kelly". Keep taking those pics. My little "Alex", she just turned 18. Times goes too fast. Enjoy the memories.

Shucks after reading your posting about being chained to the creative desk I feel I should have all Print Junkies send $10.00 to you so you can take more than one trip every 15 years.

Hi Jennie -
Thanks for the friend invite and for the positive comments on my blog. Did you design the PSDA site? If so, then I've seen and admired your work before. :)
Your daughter is stunning - what a great age. I know everyone probably tells you this, but enjoy this time in your life - kids grow up SOOOOOO fast.
