How do I customize the sections on "My Profile" page?

By placing your mouse in the title bar of any section on your profile page, you will notice your mouse icon will either turn into a four sided arrow:

or a red ‘no’ circle:

If you see the four-sided arrow, you can drag and drop that section of your profile to a different location in the center or left hand column. This feature allows you to select where your information is displayed.

If you see a red ‘no’ circle, this section cannot be moved.

Can I add more things to My Profile page?
Yes!  On your "My Profile" page you will see a box entitled “Your printjunkie.net Box.” If you click on the edit button in the header of this box, you can add text, photos, videos, hyperlinks to other websites and anything else that you choose to make your profile page truly your own.

My profile photo gets cut off. How can I avoid this?
Unfortunately the site doesn't have a feature that will let you "crop" your photo for best viewing. We hope to get this feature in the future. The best solution is to size your image to 200 x 200 pixels at 72 dpi. This should allow your entire photo to show.

My age keeps showing up even though I checked the"Do not display" box.
Your age can show up in two spots for others to see. 1) Your "My Profile" page just beneath your photo, and 2) Inside the gray bar area at the top of the page when you, or someone else clicks your name to expand it. There are also two places where you can specify your personal account info that may be the culprit. 1) Under the "My Settings" link located in the "Sign In" box at the upper right side of the Print Junkie site. If you have already checked the "Do not display" box here and your age still shows up in the gray bar area, try checking your info in this second location: 2) Go to www.ning.com, make sure you are signed in here with the same info you use to sign in to PJ. Scroll way down to the green area at the bottom of the site and click on "My Ning Profile". In the spot for your birthday, zero it out so it just says month/day/year. This should fix the issue. FYI - Ning is the company who provides the platform that Print Junkie runs on. When you signed up to be a Junkie, you also created a Ning ID. If you still have issues with age after following these instructions. Contact us.

Who can see the information I post on printjunkie.net?
You control this feature.  When you are on your "My Profile" page, click the "Edit" button that appears in the profile heading bar. From this page, select the "Privacy" button from the left hand options. From this page, you can control who is allowed to view and/or comment on your photos, videos, events and blogs, if you would like to review any comments prior to them being posted, and what information is displayed on your latest activity page.

Can I send someone a message privately?
The comment wall is very public. Not always an ideal way to get in touch with another Junkie. In order to send someone a private message, go their profile page. Under their profile picture you will see some links. One of them might be "send a message". Click this and it will bring you to the box where you compose mail. If you don't see the "send a message" link, you are most likely not a friend of that person yet. Click "add as friend" and a request will be sent to them from you. Once they accept your request, the link to send a private message will be available to you in their profile.

Can I search for Junkies by location?
Unfortunately this option is not available. You can perform a search for Junkies by name, company and even enter things like "marketing" or "design" to find particular members. The company who developed the platform printjunkie.net runs on controls the addition of features like this one. We, along with many other site creators, hope they will add this function some day soon. In the meantime, here's a tip. Go to the Groups tab. You will find 8 different Regional Groups started by PSDA that are a great way to connect with Junkies across the U.S. You could even create your own group, or start a forum that might encourage others to come to you.

How can I control the emails that I receive from printjunkie.net?
Once you are logged in, you will see a "My Settings" link in the upper right hand corner of the page:

Click on this link and select "Email" from the options on the left hand side of the page. This will allow you to control the emails you receive to your inbox or unsubscribe all together.

How do I change my User Name or Password?
First log in. In the upper right hand corner of the page, you will see a link called "My Settings":

Click on that link and it will take you to a page that will enable you to change your information.

What is my Ning ID?
When you first signed up for printjunkie.net and created your username and password, you also created your Ning ID. They are one and the same. Ning is the company who provides the platform that Print Junkie runs on. If you ever want to see the settings for your Ning ID, go to Ning.com, sign in with your PJ info and scroll way down to the bottom (green area) and click on "My Ning Account".

How do I change my User Name or Password?
First log in. In the upper right hand corner of the page, you will see a link called "My Settings":

Click on that link and it will take you to a page that will enable you to change your information.

Small, local trade only printer needed

Hi - I work at a print distributor in Orange County, CA.  We used a small, local trade only printer for many years for smaller jobs - business cards, inventory cards, small run brochures, and the like.  After 35 years in business they closed and we are looking for a couple of printers to replace them.  All suggestions are appreciated - thank you!See More
