Hi an new to forum and relatively new to printing currenlty doing offset but loking to extend to digital,
I have done my research and would ideally like an HP indigo but nearest support is 6hours flight away in South Africa. I have therefore decided to do Xerox as they have some support. I am seeing really good prices for used equipment ( two years old or less) and wanted to know what if any experience members have of buying used equipment. Also given the fact that there are few installations here, how troublesome can these presses be?

Very general high level question, I know, but any help would be appreciated.

kemi,
This obviously depends on which Xerox model you choose. The larger, the more complex and the technical service required. My suggestion would be to select a machine whice has mostly operator replaceable components (ORCs) and make sure that two of your staff are fully trained on operations and service aspects

Speaking of the Graph Expo... So who was able to make it to the show this year? What did you think of it? What new and interesting things in the world of digital print did you see? We would love to hear your feedback.
The main thing that surprised me was the absence of traditional printing press companies. Heidelberg wasn’t even there and their spot was taken over by HP. I think one of our plant managers summed it up best, “it’s now a digital print show with accessories”.
Well to put my two cents in, I didn’t see any huge changes with HP. I liked the 26” sheet size that Xerox showed on the iGen but I really have to give my vote to the Kodak folks this time. I’m hoping that most of you were able to see the coated samples printed by the new Prosper press? 4/4 output in 8 ½ x 11 at speeds up to 3,600 per minute and the output is beautiful! Can you say, “web killer”?

Iranians are no longer allowed to catch Mega Pikachus after authorities

If you're a returning player...it depends. Do you have lots of nostalgia for Red and Blue? X & Y is the way to go. While the mega pokemon game takes place in Pokemon's version of Paris, and while it might feature tons of new Pokemon, many of the beats and throwbacks in the Pokemon game are for people who hold the original 151 near and dear. Iranians are no longer allowed to catch Pikachus after authorities decided to ban the…See More

Epic adventure exploring a world filled with Pokemon in Pokemon Mega

The Pokemon mega has quickly become a part of leaving the house. Playing the Pokemon PC game is relatively easy, although capturing the Pokemon takes a little practise and we took a while with Instantfuns before realising how to get our Pokeballs and other treats. Only time will tell how long the novelty will last but at the minute it’s a great way to waste a little time and get some fresh air. DanPrepare for an epic adventure…See More
