Joseph.

Most of the issues with books like this are related to the finishing/case binding questions and the time frames associated.
The printing specs needed are as with any project:
Trim Size
Paper (uncoated, matte, dull, gloss?)
Proofing (how many rounds of proofs do you anticipate?)

The finishing is where the questions will mount up:
Cover material (is it a printed wrap or textile type material with foil stamp)
End sheets, head bands, etc...
Page marker ribbon
Dust jacket = with film lam or with UV or not

Advise of what you are thinking?
Also, just FYI, look at Bind Tech Inc's web site.
Great book bindery here in Nashville. Talk to Freddie Garcia.

Good luck.

Hello,
We've been doing short run (<1000) book printing on our Xerox iGen for over a year. The quality is remarkable. We are only able to provide adhesive casebinding or perfectbinding. If you need double fan adhesive library binding I can recommend several binderies that do that.
Best regards,

Great video Juan. I love that people are starting to get it!! I've been silently hiring 'screw-ups' (to quote Tom Peters) for years and they happen to be the strongest assets to our organization.

Great article! Here is a link to a short clip that has Tom Peters discussing much of the same thing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_w4AfflmeM
